Day 2 was one of those days that started off like a normal
day (if that is possible) and turned into one you couldn’t
put words to. We woke in Whitecourt, ate a lumberjack’s
breakfast, (seriously, the hotel was frequented by those in
the lumber industry) and proceeded back to the airport to
hit the sky.
As we neared our fuel stop in Fort Nelson the scenery
began to change. Gone were the lonely, flat, and
expansive fields of crops, and slowly building were
foothills filled with tress. Our stop allowed us to stretch
and take a look at the local transportation, prior to our next
leg, one that could have lasted for hours and felt like
minutes.
The beauty of the ALCAN Highway is unimaginable, and
can really only be described in images, so here goes…
